SensMax L3 Wireless Customer Survey Button

The SensMax L3 wireless customer survey button is a compact, battery-powered device for collecting customer satisfaction feedback at service points, washrooms, checkout areas, reception desks and public facilities. Visitors can give feedback by pressing one of three smiley buttons: happy, neutral or sad.

The button is designed for simple, scheduled feedback reporting. Each response is stored in the device memory and then sent through a compatible SensMax SMX Data Gateway to the reporting portal. This makes L3 suitable for customer satisfaction monitoring where regular reporting is needed, but real-time feedback transmission is not required.

SensMax L3 is wireless, battery-powered and easy to install on a desktop stand, wall or flat surface. It is suitable for retail stores, shopping malls, banks, public washrooms, airports, offices, museums, libraries and service centres.

How the L3 Survey Button Works

The L3 button gives visitors a simple way to rate their experience immediately after using a service. The customer presses one of three physical smiley buttons, and the response is stored in the device memory.

Standard L3 models use scheduled batch transmission. The button sends collected responses to a compatible SensMax SMX Data Gateway every 20 minutes. The gateway then forwards the data to the SensMax reporting portal through Ethernet or Wi-Fi.

If the gateway or internet connection is temporarily unavailable, the L3 button keeps backup survey data in its internal memory. This helps protect feedback statistics during short communication interruptions.

Spam Filter for Cleaner Feedback Data

Standard L3 models include an intelligent spam filter. The filter helps remove repeated or very fast consecutive button presses, for example accidental double-clicks or playful repeated pressing by children.

This keeps the feedback statistics more representative and makes the reports easier to use for service quality analysis.

Customer Satisfaction Reporting

Survey data can be viewed in SensMax reporting tools together with visitor traffic data from people counting sensors. This helps compare the number of visitors with the number of feedback responses and understand satisfaction levels in relation to actual customer volume.

Reports can show feedback trends by hour, day, week, location or device. This is useful for NPS-style reporting, branch comparison, washroom cleanliness monitoring and service quality improvement.

Installation

The L3 button is designed for quick indoor installation. It can be placed on a desktop plastic holder with a printed survey question or mounted on a wall or flat surface at visitor arm level.

Desktop installation is suitable for checkout areas, reception desks, service counters and information points. Wall installation is useful for washrooms, corridors, exit areas and public service zones where visitors should be able to give feedback quickly.

The button is powered by two AA batteries and does not require cabling at the feedback point. Before operation, the device must be paired with a compatible SMX Data Gateway.

Compatible Gateways

Standard L3 survey buttons require a compatible SensMax SMX Data Gateway. The gateway receives button data by radio channel and sends the results to the online reporting portal.

The selected button and gateway must match the same range class and radio frequency. SMX Pro supports up to 5 L3 Pro buttons. SMX LR and SMX SLR support up to 30 L3 LR or L3 SLR buttons.

Typical Applications

SensMax L3 is suitable for locations where quick and easy customer feedback is needed.

  • Retail stores for customer satisfaction feedback after checkout or service interaction.
  • Shopping malls for feedback at entrances, information desks, washrooms and service zones.
  • Airports and transport hubs for passenger feedback in check-in, toilets and service areas.
  • Banks and service centres for branch-level service quality monitoring.
  • Public washrooms for cleanliness feedback and cleaning service improvement.
  • Offices and smart buildings for facility satisfaction monitoring.
  • Museums, libraries and public buildings for visitor service feedback.

Business Benefits

L3 survey buttons give organizations a simple way to measure customer satisfaction at the exact point of service. The feedback process is quick for visitors and easy for staff to understand.

Regular reports help managers compare locations, monitor service quality, improve cleaning schedules, review branch performance and support operational decisions with clear feedback data.

  • collect simple feedback at customer touchpoints;
  • identify satisfaction trends by location and time;
  • compare service quality between branches or departments;
  • track washroom cleanliness feedback;
  • combine feedback data with visitor traffic statistics;
  • support NPS and customer loyalty reporting.

Example in Action

A retail chain installs SensMax L3 survey buttons at checkout areas. Customers can rate their experience in seconds by pressing one of the three smiley buttons. The feedback is sent to the SensMax reporting portal through SMX gateways.

Reports show that satisfaction drops during peak hours, when waiting times are longer. Based on this information, the store adds more staff during busy periods and uses the following reports to check whether customer satisfaction improves.
